Modern Drainage Ltd. owner, Mike Hartman, started working in the drainage business as a young boy. Born and raised in North Vancouver, he worked for his father until leaving to venture out on his own at the age of 25. Equipped with a beat-up pickup truck, a few hundred dollars in the bank and a solid work ethic, Mike started Modern Drainage Ltd. in 1987.
